Setting up wireless and radio networks

In general, hard disk-based storage equipment is divided into several categories based on network structure, hardware infrastructure, operating system, required software, and usage. One of the types of storage is Network Attached Storage or NAS, which is considered a suitable and high-quality storage device in terms of performance, price, facilities, etc. Like any other element, the price of storage is determined based on their capabilities.

What is nas?

NAS stands for Network Attached Storage and today it is the most widely used information storage system in the world that acts as a server.
NAS device is usually used for centralized management of organizational files and sharing them for users. Storage on this system is very secure and fast.
Because NAS uses RAID technology and users can change the settings and use it according to their needs.

Another advantage of nas storage is the simplicity of sharing files between multiple users, which is faster than a traditional file server. NAS storage is File Level and is mostly used for file sharing in the network.

In the NAS storage method, the hard disks are located on a server, which is called nas storage, and then we share these hard disks in the network for other devices. In fact, we connect to the storage through the TCP/IP protocol and receive services from it. These storages simply provide a central, local and highly available space for storing critical files and folders for any organization at a reasonable price (compared to a SAN).

In the nas storage method, the information access model is File Level Access, which means that we must install Windows optimized for storage on NAS storages. So, these devices have an operating system and the Windows Storage Server version is used, like the Microsoft version called Windows 2012 Storage Server, in this Windows, services such as DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory cannot be activated, and instead, file sharing capabilities ) has been optimized. NAS is usually used for File Sharing and Home Directory.

One of the features of this storage method is the possibility of sharing a large volume of the hard drive in the network, and a volume equal to 280 terabytes is provided.
It is usually external and uses centralized management. The network card can have up to 20,000 concurrent sessions. NAS storage is ideal for use in small and medium-sized organizations and workgroups, and is suitable for use in file service and file sharing.
